The NC’s Institute for Global Education and Training is hosting a free virtual workshop series where our experts will help you explore a diverse range of topics to assist institutions thrive in a rapidly changing world. Institute Kick-Off Lessons Learned in Postsecondary Educational LeadershipIn this engaging workshop, we delve into the journey of intentional and transformational leadership within the dynamic landscape of post-secondary education. We will explore practical insights, global lessons, and some of the personal stories that empower leaders to navigate challenges effectively. The concepts of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, as well as Immigration Trends will be examined as we seek to help leaders in education navigate the intricacies of the time.

Gender & Social Inclusion: An IntroductionJoin us for an empowering session in the Gender and Social Inclusion Leadership Program, where you will gain a comprehensive understanding of strategic leadership practices essential for promoting gender equality and social inclusion within organizations. Led by an expert facilitator from Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education and Training, this session will explore fundamental principles and high-impact tools necessary to cultivate inclusive environments. Participants will receive practical advice to equip them with the knowledge and skills to lead transformative change within their organization and beyond.

Learning how to execute a great business idea, through creativity tools, helps to bring an emerging entrepreneur one step closer to realizing a dream. Those teaching individuals in small business development and entrepreneurship will be ideal participants for this session.

Exploring Centres of Excellence in Applied ResearchResearch and Innovation is critical in today’s rapidly changing world. TVET and post-secondary educational institutions are focal points where research and innovation activities can make a big impact on economic and social development within their respective communities. Research and innovation can also increase employability of graduates and contribute to the professional development of the teaching faculty. In this session participants will be introduced to research and innovation frameworks that make for success in the postsecondary setting based on Niagara College’s award-winning model, including practical delivery strategies as well as organizational and cultural strategies. The facilitator has experience creating national level innovation centres from the beginning steps through to maturity and will have strategic and tactical advice for new centre development or continuous improvement.
