In partnership with SGS Canada Inc., Niagara College designed and delivered a risk-focused, tool kit based approach to train in the “HOW TO” of food safety management. The customized capability building program, namely, the Food Safety Program Optimization (FSPO) Certificate Program, was designed to target risk reduction and provide the tools to students to demonstrate true risk-based diligence. This program offered a unique proposition to those seeking to take their careers to the next level in the fields of risk management, auditing and supply chains dealing with food, wine and beer.

The Innovative Technology and Language Program is designed to combine studies in Niagara College’s School of Technology with academic and conversational Language Training. By integrating a series of site visits to and presentations from community and industry partners in the electronics manufacturing fields, participants are able to experience practical applications related to their subsequent area of study while also enhancing their English.

As an English plus Biomedical Science program, this partnership provides Chinese students with exposure to the Biomedical Engineering field in the Niagara region. Through a combination of Biomedical related site visits and classroom instruction, students learn about Biomedical Engineering practices in Canada as well as Medical Device and Biomedical English vocabulary.

BECAS Chile is a program executed by the Ministry of Education that aims to boost the economic, social and cultural development of Chile by providing students with the opportunity to study abroad in professional and technical fields. Through a long-standing relationship with BECAS Chile, Niagara College regularly hosts students for up to four months of English for Academic Preparation training followed by a Post-Graduate Certificate Program in either the Environmental or Hospitality and Tourism field.
